OUR TEACHERS
Our staff is truly the foundation of our program. Each member receives In-Service Training to continually provide an updated and professional atmosphere for the care of our children. Staff members plan activities that enhance various areas of learning and children’s self-esteem.
Mrs. Michelle
Owner & Operator
Michelle started her childcare career during her college years. Even working at this very center for three of those years. When she left to raise her family in the 1990’s she opened an in-home day care program which she ran until the arrival of her 3rd son. Michelle spent most of her time volunteering while raising her three boys. As Secretary of the Bodkin Elementary PTA and later President of the PTA, Michelle has a strong background in supporting and working with children. She is also an active member of her local church.
Once a Sunday School Teacher, she’s now a lead welcome center volunteer greeting members and supporting fellow volunteers. Professionally Michelle has been working side by side supporting her husband in his marketing agency for the past 10 years. As a child, Michelle’s mother would ask her what she wanted to be when she grew up. Her response was always the same “a mom”. Michelle is beyond excited to return to the Wesley team now as owner & operator.
Mrs. Jessica
Co-Director
Jessica is a proud mom of 2 incredible children. One is currently serving as a US Marine (thank you for your service)! As a very active member of her local church, Jessica developed and ran a successful children’s ministry as the ministry director for 10 years. Jessica’s love for children has always been a part of her. She is currently pursuing an early childhood education degree. Jessica has been a proud part of the Wesley team for an amazing 25 years!
Mrs. Krystal
Co-Director
Krystal is a loving mother of two beautiful daughters, Oliva, and Kylee. Krystal grew up in a big family which fostered a love for children from the very beginning. Krystal attends Anne Arundel Community College where she is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. She started her professional career working in a gym “Kids Club” before joining the Wesley Day Care Center team. We’ve been lucky to have her for the past 12 years! When
Krystal isn’t working, she loves to go camping, play BINGO and bowling on her bowling league.
Miss Jennifer
Teacher
Jennifer is a mom to one sweet boy, Elias. She graduated from high school in Montgomery County before moving to Anne Arundel County several years ago. Jennifer spends a lot of time playing with her son and they love painting together. She has strong family roots in Mexico and loves to visit as often as she can. Her favorite place to visit while in Mexico is the beaches of Acapulco. Jennifer has been an important part of the Wesley Team for six months.

Mr. Alex

Meet Alex! As one of our dedicated senior staff members, Alex is often telling stories, organizes activities, and helps the students as needed. When not working Alex spends time at the gym, spends time with friends, and regularly can be caught with a Starbucks drink in his hand. Alex is currently attending college, and working on his business degree.
Miss Maelea
Teacher Assistant
Meet Maelea! She is one of our dedicated teachers in our 2/3 year old room. When not working Maelea like to bake, sew and craft. Maelea will be attending school in the fall.

Ms. Tina
Teacher
Ms. Tina comes to us with over 20 years of experience working with children. As the baby of a large family of 5, Ms. Tina is a lifelong Marylander. Her favorite part about teaching children is watching them grown in every way. Outside of Wesley, Ms. Tina enjoys shopping, going for walks and spending time with her four nieces and ten nephews.
Miss Mariely
Teacher Assistant
Ms. Mariely started working for us in September. Born in Puerto Rico she moved to the US at the age of 5. Ms. Mariely started working with children when she was 10 years of age. She is now pursuing her passion for teaching here at Wesley. During her off-time Mariely enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her 3 dogs.
Miss Nicole
Teacher Assistant
Ms. Nicole come to us with a background in special education. She worked temporarily at Ruth Eason Elementary School primarily in the 3–4-year-old class but also often with the middle school aged students as well. Ms Nicole chose the education field because she feels it’s important to teach students to be kind, learn their surrounds and always ask questions. Fun fact about Ms. Nicole is that she is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish. Ms. Nicole attends Mount St Mary’s University where she is working on a history major and a possible philosophy major. We are honored to have her on our team!
